Hello!
I have two machines with debian installed. One has sarge and the other
has a fresh install of etch. I use gnome evolution in both machines for
emailing. I would like to copy all the emails from the machine with
sarge to the machine with etch. How can do that? can I use rsync over
the ~/.evo

Hello everyone,
I'm having a rather strange error while trying to ls a large directory.
The setup is as follows:
/home is nfs-mounted from a BSD box
nsswitch is set to use LDAP for passwd, shadow, and group info
nscd is running to cache the responses from LDAP
I try to run ls -l /home, and ge

Which does not imply that any number can be a copyrightable work. At
least I don't recall sending royalty checks to the inventors of the zero.
In this specific case, IMHO the key in question is not copyrightable
because no “original

This is NORMAL if you edit a Mesage in "gmail".
You should only hit "Reply" and THEN edit the Subject.

On top of my earlier problems with Etch, now printing (DeskJet 840C) is gone.
Reason:
% ls -l /dev/lp*
ls: /dev/lp*: No such file or directory
There is no more device created by udev. I have turned off and on, but to no

Yes, the printer is found (dmesg):

Sounds interesting, but did you compile from source? It's not in Debian
repos (I'm asking because I'm interested in trying a new editor).

If you've been having trouble getting your pcmcia disk drive found
recently, as I have, the problem may well be with the latest udev. A
line in its persistent.rules disables such drives because udev does
not know how to handle them. After flailing around, I finally
downgraded from udev 0.105-4 all
