Quick question: anyone got this working? I have tried various cups
"drivers" (foomatic + bjc600, foomatic + bjc800) but no joy: most seem
to print on half the width of a portrait format A4 page. Debian
stable, cups calling test page either from browser to cups or from

I have always received great help from this list in the past but I have
had no responses at all to my current problem. Perhaps hundreds of

Late last year, I also found problems with MySQL 4 running on the Sarge 2.6
Kernels. The 2.4 Kernel on Sarge for the packaged MySQL was much faster, I
did not looked into why this is, since Sarge was not ready for release and

1. mozilla is configured for direct connection - no proxy.
2. DNS in the linux box points to the router which forwards back to
the ISP DNS (seems to get auto-configured and I haven't changed it.
Wouldn't know what to change it to ...)

If you still have the raw DV material, you might try do convert directly
to interlaced MPEG2. In my tests iMovie did not care about interlacing
and the MOV's it produced were horrible.
This is what I used to transcode several .dif files, as produced by
iMovie into MPEG2:
