Hi,
Need help trying to figure out what are all the steps needed to replace
Kde that comes up by default when 'startx'. I'd like to change the
default kde so as to test icevwm and blackbox. I've already installed
them with 'dselect'.
TIA

Hi!
Could anyone gime me instructions how to remove KDE 2.2.2 completely from my
system? I'd like to install the new 3.2 version of KDE and before doing that
the old one should be removed. Apt didn't do the job with 'apt-get remove
kde' and I have no clue what could be the packet name(s).

Hi,
I saw Kent's message,
I did "apt-get install x-windows-system" as root
It says "could not find package x-windows-system"

Well, I'm using a 8500LE (Hercules) graphics adapter. As this is supported in
4.1.0 without any trouble, I find it hard to belive the 7500 is
I'm running unstable, and was wondering if anyone has noticed the same
behavior. Right after I ran apt-get upgrade and restarted KDE (3.2),
korganizer started crashing on me right after any event was viewed
(double-clicked) or the calendar was used in any way (browse to next
week etc).

On a new Debian install with postgresql, I'm trying to add a user. The master
user (postgres) shouldn't have a default password, so I'd expect the command
createuser -U postgres -a username
to work. I'm getting an IDENT failure on postgres,

Hey,
Of course, it's merely a detail of the tiniest kind, but would someone
be able to explain to me why the Debian version of the default KDE 3.2
style Plastik has a very different color from the one I got when using
Konstruct?
I'm not trying to sound gay or something, but the difference is clea
