I get access denied when I try to make a folder from my win2000 machine
on my Debian user folder
Last time there was a confusion so let me say that rephrased again:
Only when I access the Debian machine over the local network from a
win2000 I can read but have no writing privileges.

If it has been overnight, "locate mrtg". If you don't have the
findutils, install them.
The config file is in /etc, the results are in /var/www/htdocs/mrtg,
the docs are in /usr/share/doc/mrtg. Plus log files in /var/log/mrtg.

I just installed phpmyadmin via apt-get
No errors it all went thru fine.
The Debian phpmyadmin says that the location is
http://localhost/phpmyadmin/
It is not there - what is going on?

Is there any way to get XMMS to play Quicktime .MOV files? Or if not,
how about a stand-alone QuickTime player? I tried apt-get install
xanim, but all I got was the following error:
Package xanim has no available version, but exists in the database.

i´m not (yet) too familiar with linux but would like to exchange the os of
several computers in our school from windows xp to linux (knoppix
hd-install).
Beforehand i want to make sure if (and how) i can accomplish that a program
(i.e. Mozilla) will be killed after a certain idle time (
On some systems debootstrap runs fine like such:
debootstrap --verbose woody /root/woody-chroot http:/blahbla
On others it will only run fine like such:
debootstrap --verbose --arch i386 woody /root/woody-chroot http:/blahbla
On both systems I have dpkg installed, any idea why it acts differently
