I noticed that the new release of dillo has been packaged up for unstable.
It's a fun little browser, and it certainly does enough of the job so that

I just got my used laptop, and I put debian testing on because I don't
have to get a cdrom drive or pay $100 bucks extra. The problem now is
that X version 4 is behaving funny. For example, whenever I move the
window it blackens, and I have to switch to another virtual desktop to

IPTables is for the 2.4 kernels. IPchains is for the 2.2 kernel series. There's

My box recently locked up twice, I believe due to static shock.
Now when I start gnome it says gnome-panel could not start due to
segmentation fault. A couple of other applications also got
segmentations faults.
Is this likely due to a hardware problem (memory) or did something get
corrupted

You can use a 2.4.x kernel with Debian; there are 2.4.x kernels available
as deb packages too, the latest being kernel-source-2.4.17 (that is the
name of the package).
