nvidia drivers will only work with XFree 4.01 or greater. And to get any
of the real benefits out of XFree 4.01 (hardware 3d renedering etc) you
need a 2.4.x kernel.

./program-to-run
./ forces bash to look in the current directory.
If you want to add this to your path, you can edit .bashrc in your

Yes there is a connection, and I get a message from the remote machine. The
problem is that the "message"
usually looks like garbage. Neither program knows how to respond exactly,
so they time out and hang up (at least that's what it looks like to me).

I just remembered something: nfs might not let you export cdroms. I had
this with redhat about a year ago. You also can not proxy nfs (that
is: install a nfs server and mount a nfs mounted filesystem). I do not
know what the status is now.

You may benefit from also checking out getmail. It's simpler, cleaner and may
be less prone to dropping mail (a fact advertised by
