yeah i fixed my problem shortly after my post. i was editing the
XF86Config in /etc/X11 but the one i needed to edit was in
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/ so it is working beuatifully now.

I am trying to connect through gateway.net. When I

Try adding -lm to the end of your gcc line:
gcc -O2 -g -Wall -o prog program.c -lm
This links your program against libm.a.

Does anyone know if an ibm rs6000/7013 is usable with debian? I tried
to find it at linuxppc.org but it was not in the supported list and not
in the unsupported list. The hardware howto is x86 only. Can anyone

The syntax of append is in man lilo.conf, and then I had to look in /drivers/scsi/aha152x.c to find out what to append. But

I have a machine here with an AHA-1520B/1522B SCSI card in it (or at least
that's how it identifies itself) that works fine under Win98, but refuses to
cooperate in Linux. Specifically, using kernels 2.2.9 or 2.2.12 compiled
with generic SCSI, SCSI CD-ROM, and AHA-152x support, no hosts are detect
RTFM for ThinkPads! Laptops! Installs! One laptop is not the same as
all!
I think the boot disk you need is "resc-tecra.bin" or
"resc-tecra-safe.bin"
Other things: @ the boot prompt, try floppy=thinkpad, mem=http://www.debian.org.
Different combinations of this should work.

If you have a http proxy, you can set the $http_proxy environment to
the proxy address, or you can add it into /etc/apt/apt.conf. Check

I haven't used Lynx much but I would guess the directory you fired it up
in or your home directory, possibly /t
If you have 'X' up I would say install Netscape Communicator. If your
downloading ftp I would try 'ncftp'.

Yep, I use slink with kernel 2.2.12; patch comes from:

You need to force detection at boot with "append=x,x,x,x," added in your
/etc/lilo.conf file. Documentation should be in the man lilo file. I'm not at my
seat at home right now so I can't be more specific. I have the same card and it
works fine when you do this.

Could be several things. I suggest you put apache in debug mode (in
httpd.conf) try to execute your script again, then check the logs to see
why they're failing. It may be they're not being run as perl scripts,
may be you need to 'AddHandler cgi-script *.cgi *.pl', maybe the script
is trying to do

You can do so with the following command,
mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /floppy
that is if you have a /floppy directory which I think is created by
default so you probably do and the file system you are trying to access
