I did an 'apt-get upgrade', and apt went ahead and removed e2fslibsg in
favour of e2fsprogs without any messages or warnings. So now I have no
e2fslibsg, but everything seems to be fine, what will happen if I have to
reboot?

Does anyone have any idea why with AccelX, after updating to the X stuff in
unstable, would give me "Could not open display :0" when I run Xsetup? I

Any time you log in as a user different than the one who owns the X
session you have to set the variable DISPLAY. so next time you su to
root simply: export DISPLAY=:0 or whatever you run your X on.

by using the install script that came in the original tarball without any
problems whatsoever. I don't pretend to know how this works, but it does :-)

the answer is usually XF86_SVGA. This supports most video cards. The

There is a compressed ext2 (linux) file system. Like any compressed fs
though -- it is best left untouched. It is safer and not that much more
expensive to get a bigger drive. man is you friend. man -k
gives lots of nice help. There are also numerous HOWTOs in
/usr/doc/HOWTO once you install
Use df (disk free).
For compression you can look for tar and zip.
I don't think that there is disk compression utility. But I could be
wrong.

format a disk...as in put an second extended filesystem on it?
try mke2fs /dev/fd0
to copy a disk...(this works for any disk I found...even DOS disks
it doesn't care)
cp /dev/fd0 filname
put in a new disk

Really, the installation is simple. Just run it. I changed the

4.11 server and everything is great besides the fact that I cannot
mount any Novell volumes. Both times that I have compiled my kernel I
have said yes to the feature for mounting Novell volumes and both
times it seems to not have
