I had this problem too. I changed my mouse type to microsoft in
XF86Config and turned off CordMiddle, and everything worked fine.

I've edited the ircII.servers file, but when I run irc (the version I
took in the Debien distribution), it doesn't change anything in the
servers list.
I've compiled an irc-ii client, and the result is the same.
So, do I have to define the path somewhere or something like that ?

The Alpha port is active, and is supported by the
debian-alpha@lists.debian.org mailing list. The 68k port is also active.
The SPARC port doesn't seem to be very active at the moment, this will
no doubt change once we have _one_ port released.

This only happens in nonroot. I can use other editors(ee,ae...)
