Update: I managed to get my IMAP Contacts by doing "Add Address
Book" -> "KDE Addressbook (traditional)" -> "Addressbook on IMAP
Server via KMail".

For reference: this box has 16 GB of memory + 16 GB of swap and only

Thanks! Installing akonadi-backend-mysql fixed this indeed. I'm a little
