In the output you attached to your first mail it says:
4977: file=libgtk-3.so.0 [0]; needed by gnome-session [0]
So clearly some fglrx stuff is trying to use libgtk. Don't ask me how, it's
non-free stuff.

Me and some others have been getting a similiar problem since a recent
update...seems it might be linked to an intel gpu on a laptop too...
