It seems the problem is due to an upgrade of akonadi which was upgraded from
1.6.2 to 1.7.2 in Testing on 23.5.2012 which matches when my problems re-
emerged. So it might be that KMail 1.13.7 and Akonadi 1.7.2 have some
compatibility issues.
