all messages in a folder (with CTRL-A) and told kmail to re-filter (via
CTRL-J).

neither an up-to-date home page nor is the help of much use.

On my Cyrus IMAP server I see (as user cyrus) folders like

Steps 2 and 3 are not actually required. The bug is still present in
3.5.3-1.
Do you really need even more informations? It seems fairly trivial to
