I can confirm the following behavior on two machines both running Debian
testing:
- Using libkdecorations2-5v5 in version 5.23 results in KDE to hang
after login.
- Downgrading libkdecorations2-5v5 to version 5.21 lets me log in.

testing is broken at the moment as not all packages have migrated from
unstable to testing yet.

I made an interesting observation: kded5 crashes upon login. Even
starting kded5 manually via Konsole leads to a crash.
However, after a unspecified amount of time it can be started manually.
Is there any chance to make kded5 more verbose? I'd like to provide some
logs.
