Nobody knows when Sarge will be released. So it would be nice to have
packages for kopete witch split the xmms dependency away.

This bug is 164 days old and nothing seem to have been done to
fix it.
It's quite a pain in the ass to have to install a GTK1.2 audio
application in order to use a QT/KDE Instant Messanging one.
This is pretty irrational, not to say stupid.

XMMS support should definitely be disabled or split into kopete-xmms.
I don't want to have XMMS installed (and because of that gtk1.2 and glib1.2)
in my computer because of some strange dependency ...
