With the raft up kde based updates that came in today, this has resolved
itself on the two machines that were affected.

Running Testing with a kde desktop.
My symptom is:
The menus that used to be invoked by mouse clicks, when the mouse is over the
desktop, have vanished.
As best I can tell this happened with the plasma-desktop (4:5.13.4-1)
