seems to be related to type 3 fonts.
We had the same bug on stable and also on oldstable after installing the
new security patch.
But after installing the package cm-super pdflatex was able to generate
pdf files with type 1 fonts which are now rendered properly with xpdf or
okular.

I use Debian Squeeze and frequently upgrade to the latest version of all
packages. When I use any KDE application that uses sound I will not have
sound in any other application until I reboot the computer. I have tried
Amarok (Phonon) and Skype as far as I remember. Other application
i made the missing table myself with a "create database mysql ; use
mysql ; create table servers (c int);" (ok that is probably not the
format of the servers table, but i can't imagine why it would even
need this table). anyway the error message disappeared but my
akonadi_gcal_r
This bug appears to not have been a bug with okular. I changed the printer
drivers on the Laser Jet 2100 and the problem went away.
I do not know what the issue was.

exclusive, only one of them should ever run at the same time.
Also, all the applications (so far as I could see) that seem to depend
explicitly upon the KDE3 kded seem to work just fine with the KDE4 kded.
