I created an artificially blown up ics file available from

This file has 1.2MB and more than 3900 events. Having it loaded and doing
"New Task" does not take 1 second, neither does deleting. My computer is 5

two years old (happy birthday!). However, as soon as I ask for compiling
it from source, I never get an answer. Seems compiling from source fixes
this problem. I cannot observe this problem with compiled binaries.
I am the maintainer of karm, thanks for this report, could you please
paste your .ics file at bugs.kde.org ? I could then see if it is a
distribution-specific issue.
