Since some of the last updates to version 4.4.4 all my global key shortcuts
do not work anymore, e.g Alt+Tab to switch between windows, Ctrl+F1 etc to

After updating to KDE 4.4 i was able to reinstall printer-applet 4:4.4.3-1
Printer-applet does not produce any error messageboxes on startup and it seems
to work now. CUPS does not log any error messages too.

now i reinstalled it from unstable (version 4:4.3.4-2)

every time i am logging in or starting printer-applet manually from console

This error "client-error-bad-request" may be related to my non UTF8 locale und
the newer CUPS 1.3 version i use. Having a problem with my HP printer and the
HPLIP driver using non-UTF8 locale i found the following information within
the HPLIP bug-tracking system (message from Johannes Meixner):
