same issue for me, I tried to launch a Plasma session with wayland
compositor via SDDM, and it failed and return to SDDM.

Same bug here. Upgrade to version 5.3 from Stretch. No kwin borders, no X
window movable and other defects. I downgrade to version 4.11 and
everything works better.
At present day, it seems that plasma-nm, systemsettings and
kde-window-manager do not work correctly for now ; I block the update for
