I did a reinstall of Debian with KDE and noticed no crashing of plasma at all
until I added this to my kwinrc file:

I am fairly certain this is the culprit. Again, plasma does not crash on my
laptop even when using this setting.

I suppose you could try disabling this sanity check, but I suspect
you'll then have non-trivial porting to do, so you may simply need to
limit qtwebengine-opensource-src's Architecture: field accordingly.

"To" field of KMail. You position the cursor after the "san" and type
"ta" expecting to see "santa.cl...@north.pole.ca" Instead, you see

Further info: when the folders turn red, I will typically exit kmail. The
window closes, but at least one kmail process hangs around according to "ps".
When this happened just now, I logged out of KDE and the processes all went
away. KMail is working again after logging in (no reboot this time
