How about passing the fix to upstream? That way it would get reviewed by
somebody else, as it is related to keepass I think it would be the correct
choice. Not knowing the code, it would take me some time to verify the
correctness of your code.

after reinstalling kitchensync korganizer refuses to work again.
i tied to use LD_PRELOAD to get the programm working but it was only a
kind of partial success:

The problem seems to be related to kitchensync.
After removing kde and reinstalling it without
kitchensync korganizer works fine.
there was a version of kitchensync installed
on my pc before kitchensync was a part of
sid. Could that cause the trouble?
