It would sure be nice if the "show Desktop" widget (part of
plasma-widgets-addons) didn't need so much extra stuff installed. Maybe it
could be packaged by itself or as part of the base set of widgets that is
installed by default?

I consider this a regression b/c though the bug existed previously, it

more frequent and easier to trigger. One can tell this is the case by the
numerous duplicate bugs being filed at the kde bugzilla recently. :(
