(the menu says "KLaptop", but there is no executable by that name on my
system).

I strenuously disagree with the upstream decision taken to point kdm at
/dev/urandom instead of /dev/random for entropy.
Using /dev/urandom is fine for unserious application that need a source of
(pseudo-)random numbers, such
n confirm that this bug does appear to be fixed.
I have some quibbled with the way Konqueror lays out manpages, but it no
longer seems to be confused by the roff \(oq and \(cq sequences.

Back in KDE2, there was a way to turn off the "apply KDE defaults to
non-KDE apps" feature.
It doesn't seem to be present anymore. The old "Look & Feel" menu that
used to have this option has been split up and/or renamed. I ch
t have a
fatal X server configuration problem*. Most failures after that point
are client-side problems. (Yes, there are bugs in the X server that can
cause it spontaneously crash, but if the X server "crashes" immediately
