Attached please find an experimental patch for Debian version 4:17.08.3-1.
Unfortunately, I cannot test it. Both this version as well as version
4:18.04.2-1 from experimental fail to build on my Debian testing
system without patch. I am happy to cooperate if anyone can pick up

To clarify the dialog messages I get, these are the two:
- Acces denied to [path to destination file]
- Could not change permission for [path to destination file]
I had trouble getting a backtrace but eventually I succeeded (although I
don't know if it helps):

review, I did File->Quit and got an dialog, asking me
Do you want to save your changes to "filename.pdf" or discard them?
I could choose "Save", "Discard" and "Cancel"
