I'm curious as to why kdepim is still stuck at version 4.4.11.1 while
the rest of KDE has been upgraded to 4.7.4 in the meantime. Are there
serious bugs in newer versions of kdepim which prevent upgrading, or
is there just a lack of any

I am sorry to report that since a dist-upgrade of my system today, I
have this problem as well - cannot boot to a plasma desktop and
plasma-desktop crashes when run from terminal.
I am running Debian testing with KDE 4.7.4, update was today (may 14).

Hi, as we are approaching the next freeze, I realised with a shock that
KDE SC was still not at 4.8, not even in unstable - and no transition
for it, either.
I would have expected 4.8 to make it into wheezy. Is this really true,
4.8 is said to include so many imp
Hi all,
I just got the bug described hear in testing. I tried the solution:
removing plasma-scriptengine-python package and things are back to
normal. Thanks to all of you. Never forget: Debian (and Debian users) rocks!

Seems the memory leak is worse using qtcurve than the default oxygen theme.
Doing alt tab with XRender on oxygen results in a slower leak and extremely
high cpu usage, when continually using alt tab.
