I can reproduce this bug on ALL fresh etch and sid installations.
All kcontrol and kinfo modules are located kde's lost&found menu.

Using 1.6.0-3 I get the behavior described for 1.5: text does paste
in. The cell does not expand to reveal all the text, though it can be
manually adjusted later to do so. While it would be nice if it
expanded on it's own, the original bug seems solved.
So I agree this is OK to close.
