i upgraded the whole kde packages some time ago and since that (at least
4:3.5.5-1) I didn't have this any more.

After last upgrade kopete fails to connect to ICQ server.
It shows me following messages on console:

I have exactly the same problem. kpilot 3.5.4-1 works and kpilot
generally has worked well for a long time for me. After upgrading to
kpilot 3.5.5-1 neither the addressbook nor the calendar are synced any
more. I downgraded to 3.5.4-1 - problem gone.
