neither reloading KDE nor rebooting the machine does help. kdeprint can't
connect to the CUPS server.
Thus I seem to have a working CUPS and a non working KDE print subsystem
at the moment.
Its probably a good idea to raise the severity of this bug when others can
confirm this behavio

to version 1.2 - I decided to create a clean-room environment by
purging CUPS, removing all leftovers and re-installing and
