I fixed the bug by removing kplayer (from unofficial sources on
nerim.net). Optionally one can "aptitude reinstall kdelibs-data" and
log out/in, which may help matters.

Apparently - theres a major problem with immodule in Qt at the moment - which
causes
KeyReleasedEvent ro return a value of 0 for any QKeyEvent ... which is bad -
and means that anything
