sadly, I've just learnt that the bug is reproducible in sarge too. I was misled in my previous checks since the default logout sound in KDE 3.2 is in WAV format, which does not trigger the bug. OGG or MP3 is necessary. moreover, I managed to reproduce the bug with arts 1.2.3, so having
