My comment was too quick. Writer will now disregard CJK text
most of the time. However, sometimes (I don't know when and
there doesn't seem to be a pattern) it will still attempt to
spellcheck CJK words.
So the bug is still there, only improved.

The file
~/.openoffice.org2/user/config/javasettings_Linux_x86.xml
listed the wrong path, but strange enough I had to remove that file to
make OOo.org to recreate it.
After that it worked.
But why wasn't that possible from within OOo?

Hi,
I have installed openoffice.org_1.0.0-2: There are quie a few
bug concerning the kde and gnome menu. I am going to report them.
however, I just sauw a new version in which you mention about removing
the "removed KDE stuff". There is no longer any menu, so my bug
reportt is moot. B
