In my case - a recently installed Ubuntu Lucid Lynx - the splash screen
was normal for a couple of weeks until today, when it appeared upside
down, black and white and in low-res.
I'm not aware of having done anything to the splash image itself, but
I've been looking into a problem with my ATI Rad
Retested - slanted on 16 bpp, run locally. Intel i815 onboard graphics.
