Another workaround is:
export OOO_FORCE_DESKTOP=gnome
It works for me under XFCE. It's quite strange because the Gtk
integration used to work out-of-the-box. Did something changed in
OpenOffice.org, or is it XFCE's fault ?

Hi,
It would be nice of the bash completion stuff for OpenOffice could
regnonize the new file formats introduced by OpenOffice.org 2 (like odt
for texts, odp for presentations, etc.).
