while trying to sort out unused packages, I noticed that openoffice.org
in testing depends on TWO versions of libgcj:
-openoffice.org depends on openoffice.org-officebean which depends on
libgcj7-1
-openoffice.org-gcj depends on java-gcj-compat

Okee, I got it. I first tried a X restart, it didn't help (X is
launched from gdm).
