When I try to do a search-and-replace by hitting Ctrl-F, I get a
dialog box saying
"Installation problem: cannot find XML file:find-and-replace.xml"
When I hit OK, OpenOffice quits, saying "Due to an unexpected
error, OpenOffice.org c

(I'll let you guys decide whether to re-assign the bug to alsa-oss, or
reprioritize it, or whatnot.)
I found what was causing my crash. It only happens when LD_PRELOAD (or
ld.so.preload) contains /usr/lib/libaos
I still have the same bug in 1.1.0-6 (and deleting .sversionrc doesn't
solve the problem). I'm trying now to upgrade to experimental and

I now downgraded to 1.1.0-4 which had previously been known to work, and
now it doesn't (same crash). Perhaps the problem is one of your
dependancies?

It appears all of the information you have about this bug relates to
when .openoffice and .sversionrc have been deleted. Here's what I have
found when they *are not* deleted:
