atever is used in the preinst. This is why
it is strongly discouraged to do anything funky in the preinst. If you
have stuff to deconfigure during upgrades, you need to do it, if
possible, in the prerm of the old package.

OOo ignores the Xft settings, set in the GNOME control panel. Here are
my current settings:
Xft.antialias: 1
Xft.dpi:96.00
Xft.hinting:1
Xft.hintstyle: hintfull
Xft.rgba: rgb
As shows the attached screenshot, GNOME
features.
Please move the dependency to the openoffice.org metapackage if this is
possible. It would save a lot of bandwidth and disk space.

Oops, my mistake, I didn't notice the version mismatch between
openoffice.org and openoffice.org-bin.
Maybe openoffice.org should depend on "openoffice.org-bin (=
${source-version})" so that APT doesn't let this kind of things happen.

Hi,
I have tried the latest OOo package, and it just prints the splash
screen, then dumps core :
Abort (core dumped)
I have tried to remove any user configuration (.user60.rdb, .openoffice,
OpenOffice.org*) with the same results

Note that Jerome Warnier sent me your version of the /usr/bin/openoffice
script, and it works fine, handling locales correctly.
