my extension would indeed not install when soffice.bin is under gdb, but yes
otherways. however, after installation of it, the extension management screen
doesn't refresh: it remains some kind of blue, but shows buttons if you move i

well i've downloaded RC4 from upstream and it doesn't manifest any of the
symptoms i signaled.
the solution could be in the field of comparison. i'll still be at your service
for anything i can do.
