Sorry, problemreport somehow disappeared.
On save, oocalc sets the length of numeric items to the minimal
required length. Having several tables, I need them to have
identical length.
The problem exists at least since version 3.0

This mean
It's working now with version 3.1, but saving might change the size of numeric
fields.

Debian sid under Gnome -
The environment consists of a samba server (v3.0.23c-4) running on RedHat ES 4
