This bug does not occur with Evolution, so is in my opinion a problem
with icedove. It is the MUA's responsibility to create temporary copies
of files which it does not want to disappear.

when connecting to a SMTP server with tls (e.g. exim) OOo mailmerge looks like
the
SMTP dialog is not correct.
We are using this patch to fix the problem:

Uh, no, that of course won't work with a path there. Try
sed -i "s,.*library:name=\"WebWizard\".*$office.*,," $dialog_xlc
$script_xlc
or some other sed delimiter.
