This bug belongs not to ooo-bin, but to ooo-debian-files, as that
package installs /usr/lib/mime/packages/openoffice.org-debian-files
If you add the below line to this file, it should work (untested):
application/rtf; openoffice '%s'; edit
I'm speaking about today's up-to-date packages on Sid.
First, during the upgrade, my old /etc/openoffice1.1 directory was not

/etc/mailcap, even though it is perfectly capable of opening
rtf data.

Hi,
After purging and reinstalling all openoffice.org packages,
things work fine again. I'm putting the severity back to normal,
but I'm not closing the bug, as it may still contain information
to you, but I leave that for you to decide. It works for me now.
