I see in the upstream changelog for 1.0.3 that the crash problem under
gnome is solved. I understand they mean our "gnome-session" hack in the
"/usr/bin/openoffice" script is no longer needed
(see http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=4494).
Am I wrong?

Thanks. Then the problem seems to be related to the build-dependency

Hi,
Many of the command line tools built and used by the build go ahead and
statically link it in (and thus the define in the solenv/inc/unx*.mk file
for just that case).
Hope this helps,

Hi Gerhard,
The build specifies the static lib here:
-Wl,-Bstatic -lstlport_gcc -
Are you using the internal stlport or an externally built one. If using
the internal, there is a libstlport_gcc.a built in stlport and delivered
to the solver on my build of OOo 1.0.3

Hi,
the command below is executed on s390, cat from
build-tree/oo_1.0.3_src/tools/unxlngs390.pro/misc/i_server.cmd .
stlport_gcc is supposed to be linked statically, but there is no
libstlport_gcc.a file. Any idea what is going wrong?
Thanks,
Gerhard

Hey all
I'm having difficulties getting OpenOffice software to run properly on
my system.
At boot time, the splash screen shows. When the initial window goes to
be drawn, all programs other than the OO software are unminimized and
the OO software will flash on the screen for a bit.

Hi Chris,
In the freetype-devel mailing list there is an almost general
consensus that antialiasing is better with the autohinting module,
supplied by freetype2 (as opposed to the bytecode interpter).
