Hi all, I am new to open-office and I have a small problem, I have .doc files

Gerhard,
Thanks for the attachments.
I think my problems have been compiler and glibc-related. I was _trying_ to
build STLport with gcc 2.95.x and glibc 2.2.3. That wasn't working well, so
I upgraded gcc to 3.2 (without upgrading glibc to 2.2.5 first). That seemed
to go better, but xml2cmp was

The resource file iso*.res is missing in all languages except English. This

You must have version skew somewhere. The behaviour you are describing is
not the behaviour of the packages, which is:
- Only one -help package is installable at once - they conflict with each
other.
- Each help package installs its help files in
/usr/lib/openoffice/help/, and creates a
Here are my experiences, with the new packages (1.0.1-5) where the help files
are separated from the language packs:
I have installed OpenOffice.org with a language pack and the English help
because there is no help in that language yet. However, OOo is not able to
find any help files at all.
