Hi ...
after a week of hard work, we have OpenOffice.org working on all
available Linux-PowerPC-Distributions.
So .. I hope, I get OpenOffice.org build on debian-powerpc as well.
I'm working on this.

Hello,
I upgraded OOo today to 1.0.1 and since my upgrade I have in my home directory
a directory OpenOffice.org1.0.1 which is not masked. So, I would like to know
if it's a bug or if it's normal. If it's isn't a bug how can I fix this problem
?
Thanks

Hi,
You may want to send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] hinting about issues that are
important to you. I can help to push for approval and commit them (if

Hi.
I wrote how to use Japanese fonts by OOo because I found someone wanted
to know how to use Japanese from the archives of this ML. This instruction
doesn't contain how to use Japanese XIM clients though.
1. At first, you have to install Japanese TrueType fonts. Several fonts are
available

Hmm, I like that idea. The old ~/.openoffice/ directory would get in the
way if it was left around for downgrades, though. Perhaps
~/.openoffice.org/x.x[.x] ?

Hi,
If you run an official installer from OOo you can control the name of this
file completely. it just defaults to OpenOffice.org1.0.1 but you can make
it anything you want.

So personally, I refuse to use any software other than CVS, that
pollutes my home directory with non-dotfiles or non-dotdirs. Is there
any chance that openoffice
Hi,
Yes the upstream is aware of this. What I tried to expalin in my last mail
was that changes in both hyphenation dictionary format and the creation of
shared dictionaries (as opposed to user specific dictionaries only)
necessitated that the user space from OOo 1.0 not be used for OOo 1.0.1

why does it have to be such a clunky name? couldn't you move

Did you check /usr/share/openoffice.org/doc/README.Debian?
Maybe you have an S3 graphics card, or perhaps the font troubleshoo
