And indeed, hash-table.h contains:
#include
which I'm not sure is really supposed to exist.
If you need more info, please ask.

Actually the patch is now included upstream, but now it needs to be
enabled with --enable-pax_emutramp.

You mean something like
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?tag=ftbfs-gcc-4.7;users=debian-gcc@lists.debian.org

Can't the plugin be rebuilt when needed (meaning, when it's used to
actually build something)?

sume from it,
and from your question if I am using a development version of Debian,
that "the ultimate plan" is that the gcc package depend on the gcc-X.Y
package which was used to build the kernel?
Put another way: *must* the kernel in a stable release be compiled with
the *de
reopen the bug and
assign it to the package gcc rather than gcc-4.1, then? I presume you
can do tha? Or would that be too much trouble? Thank you.
Alexis
PS Such a blase attitude towards bug reports does neither (a) you, nor
(b) Debian any favours.

kernel packages are being distributed built with gcc-4.1 then this
missing symlink is a problem.
That the user has to type:
cd /usr/bin
ln -s gcc-4.1 gcc
should clearly not be a prerequisite to build a kernel module.

Thank you.
Since a bug clearly *does* exist (although possibly not inside the gcc
package), I presume/hope that the above does *not* mean that the bug
will simply be ignored, right?

else
ask the user which to make the default
delete any existing 'alternative' symlinks for cc
create new ones pointing to just-determined default
