I have built a application on Red hat 7.2 using gcc 2.96 (with -lpthread
option on) [glibc version: 2.2] and I am trying to run it on RHEL 3.0 [glibc
version: 2.3.2-95.27]. I am facing the following problem,
symbol __pthread_atfork, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file
libpthread.so.0 with l

I was a bit disapointed, having gcc 3.4 and 3.3 installed, to see this

No alternatives for g++

Is there a particular reason not to use it ?
