I can understand that, though from what I've heard, implementing a bug
tracking interface as a Gnus backend shouldn't be a monumental
undertaking. Right now the Gn

Now using submenus for Set Urgency/Distribution. Plus I cleaned up
one more minor glitch someone found (I'll try to make a list of
contributors fairly soon).
This version is actually starting to have some fairly noticable diffs
with the original (stock) .el. I've reorganized the functions,

Aargh, I swear, I really *do* test these before uploading! I guess
maybe emacs20 doesn't use that line, because it's the second typo I've
had there, and it's wo

Ok, the second attempt is now available at the same place:
http://www.debian.org/~xtifr/debian-changelog-mode.el
Again, this is very prerelease, no really extra functionality yet,
installation is manual, no warranty, all that stuff. But this uses
easymenu, and only uses the faces available to

I'm a little dubious about Gnus, especially since so

Ok, early responses suggest that it doesn't quite work with Xemacs
yet. I think I have enough info to solve that in a reasonably
portable fashion now. Thanks for the feedback, I'll announce a new
version in a few days probably.
cheers

Hi,
I'm working on an enhanced version of debian-changelog-mode.el. I
deliberately started with font-lock and menus, the parts that may have
portability issues, so I'd like to solicit feedback. So far, I have
tested only on emacs20; I'd like to hear from the Xemacs users.
