Hello,
could someone please point me to a solution where I can update packages
from package servers from within xemacs. For me it happens almost all
the time that the connection times out, even with the most proximal ftp
server in the list ftp.tu-darmstadt.de which is otherwise very fast.

I am using xemacs on a woody desktop and a woody laptop. I have noticed
that the binaries for xemacs-gnome-... do not enable the
alt-F etc key combination for the file menu while xemacs-mule does. Is
this a feature or a bug.

I use xemacs21.4-6 on two different debian woody machines. Both have
been installed from the same debian mirror. the apt/sources.list files
are equally identical since the second one is a copy of the first one.
Updates are also the same.
