I'd like to present you a new idea for installation/maintenance of complete
installations. Please take a bit of time, read this mail, and if you've got
any comments, questions or suchlike, don't hesitate to reply.

I'd like to ask for some help.
I have some machines running an old kernel (2.4.25, from Suse7.3).
Now I'd like to get some newer software running on them, *without*
re-installing the whole system.
(That would be gnuplot, graphviz, subversion, fsvs, and some others).
