Hi,
we - the initramfs-tools maintainers in Debian - want to provide a

Hi,
I'm the maintainer of the ddrescue and gddrescue packages.
I plan to drop the ddrescue package.
Background:
ddrescue provides the dd_rescue binary, gddrescue provides the
ddrescue binary. As you might notice this is far from a perfect
situation and confuses users.

Hi,
according to UDD we've 4451 new source packages in Debian/wheezy[1].
Plenty of them are worth noting and a good way to present the
interesting new packages to our users could be if package
maintainers/teams just write about them.
Would be nice if we get something similar to the dpl game up a

Hi,
I'm repeating what I did with the #newinwheezy game for the wheezy
release[1] now for the Debian/jessie release (jey!).
According to UDD we've 4841 new source packages in Debian/jessie[2].
A list of the source packages expanded with maintainer names is
available at well[3].

Hi,
we have a rather unfortunate situation with the
golang-github-gomodule-redigo-dev package, see #974550 for the
details.
tl;dr: upstream released v2.0.0 on 2018-03-14, though went downwards
with version numbers afterwards and we're at v1.8.3 for the latest
upstream release now. In Debian we cu

here at DebConf I've been working on a backport of systemd for jessie.
If you're interested in all the new features, bugfixes and changes
that systemd received since its version 215-17+deb8u4 (the one
available from jessie) you might wanna give it a try.
